Understanding the Role

The People Operations Specialist will run the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department. He/she has a general knowledge of HR disciplines to provide various administrative support and functions related to talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, employee relations, and offboarding.

The People Operations Specialist will play a significant part in helping the People Operations Manager in strengthening the end-to-end employee lifecycle experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a flair for identifying and developing HR processes. This position will nurture relationships with employees at all levels while enjoying a fast-paced and energetic work environment.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or any related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in data analysis
  • Proficient technical skills in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Zoom, HRMS, or any talent management software
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the full-cycle recruitment process including onboarding operations, background checks, and employment eligibility verifications
  • Ensure compliance with employment and government-related requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee database
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Establish strong relationships with acquisition partners and other external parties
  • Assist during new hire onboarding and orientations for employee benefits
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports 
  • Champion employee referral and internship programs, and participates in job fairs
  • Handle employment-related inquiries and treat complex and/or sensitive matters with confidentiality
  • Keep up with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Perform other assigned administrative duties
