We are looking for a Merchant Relations Specialist who will be responsible for overseeing contract management, revenue tracking, and governance compliance. They will be involved in managing invoicing, renewals, pre-terminations, upgrades, and downgrades while ensuring seamless client-facing document gathering and accurate financial reporting. They will be expected to be highly organized and detail-oriented.
The role will serve as a key representative for the Governance Department, ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance requirements.
Salary: Php 30,000
Basic Qualifications:
Academic Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Communication, or a related field
Relevant Work Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in merchant relations, account management, or a similar role within the e-commerce or retail industry.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Develop comprehensive reports and presentations for management that highlight key insights, oversee contract management, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales tools, as well as Microsoft and Google Workspace tools.
- Frequent travel throughout Metro Manila is necessary, with in-office attendance expected two to three times per week.
- SaaS (Software as a Service) Platforms with a focus on B2B or B2C application
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for data-driven decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle of clients, including third-party reseller partners to ensure accuracy and compliance;
- Manage invoicing processes, ensuring timely and correct billing for clients;
- Proactively engaging with Business Development Specialists for contract renewals;Coordinate pre-terminations, ensuring smooth contract closures, if applicable;
- Facilitate upgrades and downgrades with the Business Development team, aligning with client needs and internal policies;
- Manage requests for payments, ensuring timely and correct settlements with third-party reseller partners;
- Proactively engaging with Partnership Managers for contract renewals;
- Facilitate changes in commercial and/or payment terms with the Partnership Managers;
Client-Facing Document Gathering:
- Collect, verify, and maintain necessary contractual and financial documents from clients;
- Act as the primary liaison for clients during the document submission process;
- Ensure all required paperwork is received and filed in compliance with company standards. This requires coordination with Operations;
Revenue and Accruals Tracking:
- Together with Finance and Business Development, you will monitor and track revenue streams, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements;
- Together with the Partnership Team, you will monitor and track Cost of Goods Sold, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements;
- Oversee accruals, both revenue and expenses, ensuring financial records reflect accurate Net Sales Revenue recognition;
- Work closely with finance teams to provide accurate reports and insights;
Governance Department Representation:
- Serve as a representative for Governance matters, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations;
- Support audits and internal reviews by providing necessary contract and revenue data; and
- Implement best practices for risk management and financial compliance.
