Understanding the Role
The Brand Manager is responsible for ideating and overseeing the implementation of brand and marketing strategies to ensure the success and growth of the RUSH brand and its sub-brands in all aspects. His/her main goal is to ensure that RUSH’s digital solutions and services resonate with and provide value to its market, and that every touch point (both online and offline) communicates the right brand messaging and positioning.
The Brand Manager plays a key role in maintaining the overall brand image and creating marketing roadmaps to track overarching marketing goals, strategies, and initiatives. As a keeper of the brand’s internal and external communications, the Brand Manager is also involved in equipping the sales force with the necessary materials to aid the sales process, creating assets that communicate product features, and developing marketing tools and campaigns to attract new prospects and customers.
This is not to be confused with Product Management roles that are directly involved in the development of a product roadmap.
Success in this role demands a strong sense of communication, skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and a highly developed proactive and collaborative nature. The ideal candidate should possess a positive and can-do attitude, and should be able to work comfortably with business executives and the leadership team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or any related field.
- Minimum of 4 years working in Sales, Marketing, or Branding.
- Previous experience in startup SAAS industries, particularly in eCommerce, is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in media relations is also valuable.
- An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
- Certifications in digital marketing (ex. Advanced Google Certifications, Digital Marketing Certifications) are nice to have.
Skills & Knowledge
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with ability to translate technical features to user benefits. Background in copywriting is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail. Background in design is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability, capable of spotting critical items
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and or with a team
- Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of Analytics (UA and GA4)
- Ability to draw actionable insights from quantitative and qualitative data and match data and figures with creative executions
- Strong knowledge of the marketing mix and the PESO model. Understanding of the inbound methodology is highly valued.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead both Marketing and Brand Management initiatives and measure their performance against relevant metrics and KPIs.
- Work with the Creative Manager to ensure that all our communications for RUSH and all its sub-brands are consistent and on-brand across all channels.
- Refine the brand guidelines and assets for brand consistency and recognition.
- Analyze brand and product positioning and develop buyer personas to align RUSH and its digital solutions with customers.
- Determine the most appealing features to generate product demand and find the right channels to promote to prospective and existing customers
- Champion inbound marketing and develop valuable and compelling content (ex. tool tips, website pages, blogs, social content and ads, etc.) that resonate with different audience segments.
- Be on the lookout for market trends and competitor executions
- Create marketing initiatives and go-to-market strategies using various marketing tools and channels (PESO) to introduce and sell RUSH’s digital solutions to the market.
- Lead marketing campaigns, assess and report their performance, and draw insights and recommendations from relevant campaign metrics
- Work with various teams to test and scale the product features, translate technical details into benefits for the users, and turn feedback from existing and prospective customers into actionable insights
- Report marketing results to the management team.
